WINDSOR PUPS SPRING CLEAN UP

BY PETER WELLS

las another year has come and gone and we find ourselves in the glory of spring.

This year the Windsor Park dog owners were out early cleaning the park of "missing in action" dog waste and litter for another year.

For eight years in a row now, dog owners get together for a Saturday morning to clear winter waste from the park. A noteworthy find this year was a BBQ rotisserie motor by Brian Tansey on the strip between Windsor and Linda Thom Park (Bank St.). Anyone with a fresh chicken and tank of propane should contact Brian for more information.

Coverage this year included all the parkland from the bridges at Bank to Main St. It's not very glamorous work and I could think of something else to do on a beautiful Saturday morning. We should all thank our neighbors who "just do it" (as opposed to the dogs who, well you know).

About 11 green garbage bags were collected and stacked for removal by the city. Community residents interested in other Spring Cleaning the Capital projects should call Paul McCann of the City at 244-5300 ext 3363 or email him mccannp@city.ottawa.on.ca.
