OSCA MEMBERSHIP VACANCIES

his May is our fifth OSCA (Ottawa South Community Association) Membership campaign. It gets bigger and better every year. We have some new Area Reps who may be calling asking you to volunteer a couple of hours to do your block.

Robert Burr has taken over Area 3 - Cameron to the river west of Bank. This area was formerly done by Mike Lascelles. We need block reps for Marco Lane, Osborne, Pentry and Rideau River Lane.

Megan Doyle is doing Area 4, - Ossington to Hopewell, west of Bank. Michael Jenkin has done it the last few years. There are many long blocks here, so if you can do even one side of a block, please phone Megan.

Michael Lynch is doing Area 5, this year - Bronson Place to Seneca north of Sunnyside. It's had several Area reps, the most recent being Lora Lindsay and Marc Ledbetter. Give him a call if you can help.

Area 6, - Roslyn to Bank, north of Sunnyside, is being done by Kathy Gillis from. I'm sure she could use some help too.

Area 7 is east of Riverdale from Sunnyside to Main Street to the River. The blocks are very long here and some streets had no block reps last year. Derek Keefe was Area Rep last year but can't do it this year, so we need an Area Rep here and block reps. Any volunteers??

Most people who become block reps enjoy it and do it every year. It's a great way for new people to meet their neighbours and long time residents to renew friendships. It's important for feedback from you to OSCA on neighbourhood  issues.

Our growing membership list gives us more clout at City Hall and Regional government, even more important now with amalgamation. It won't succeed without your help.
