WHAT'S LUCK GOT TO DO WITH IT?

BY LIZ MAYER

ld Ottawa South resident Susan Sinclair, has some advice for singles who are looking for love: "Forget the crystal ball."

"Don't just sit back and wait for fate to bring you a life partner. There are steps you can take now to find the relationship that's right for you." Sinclair is a certified Lifestyle Transition and Relationship Coach and offers help to singles with a program called PartnerQuest, a systematic, personalized approach to finding a successful relationship. Through individual coaching, group workshops and weekend retreats for singles, Sinclair guides her clients through the process of achieving a lasting and intimate life partnership.

As a coach, Sinclair offers tools and exercises to clarify life visions and purpose, to define personal needs and to use effective strategies to scout, sort and screen potential partners. The key to finding a successful relationship, says Sinclair, is being a successful single. "The first step is to identify your personal values and clarify your life vision. Self-awareness leads to self-confidence." While Sinclair's strategy has a serious objective, it is delivered with humor and light-hearted wit. "We laugh while we learn", says Sinclair of her sessions.

A certified coach for nearly 15 years, Sinclair has used her skills as a Family Support Social Worker, Adult Educator and Professional trainer. She holds degrees in Environmental Studies and Education and has completed advanced courses with the internationally-recognized Coach Training Institute. She is a member of the worldwide International Coaching Federation.
