ECOS SEPTEMBER 2000 UPDATE

ark September 23, 2000 on your calendar and plan to join us at 12 noon at the Brewer Pond Lookout to unveil our Interpretative Program.

WHY COME?

The Interpretative Program, consisting of eight 3'x2' bilingual plaques sited around Brewer Pond, is amazing and well worth seeing.  Come see what magic John Wright, Ian Gregory and Claudette Fortin created.

Mingle with your neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, meet dignitaries and see the media in action.

Join in the Brewer Pond Wetlands Festival (12:30 to 3 pm) that will immediately follow the ribbon-cutting ceremony. See Mike Rankin's turtle show, learn what we have done to create fish habitat, stroll along the Interpretative Trail, check out the Scouts Bridge, and get tips on what you can do to improve water quality.

Enjoy the refreshments and line up to get a free ECOS T-shirt for your children (limited supply, only 100 - come early).

For more information, call Mike Lascelles at 737-6480.

In conjunction with the Interpretative Program unveiling, ECOS has launched a new web site. Learn all about the Interpretative Program, and the health of the Rideau River in general, at www.restoretherideau.org.
