elp to provide someone with a short, friendly visit, a nutritious meal, and the independence they need to stay at home.
When you become a volunteer with Meals on Wheels you join a friendly new community. The clients you visit are interesting, appreciative people who are glad to receive the valuable service you are providing. It only takes two hours over the noon hour once a week or twice a month to make a big difference in the life of someone who is elderly or disabled.
Your schedule with Meals on Wheels can be as flexible as you need in order to accommodate work, travel and other commitments.
The office staff and other volunteers are always pleased to welcome new volunteers. You are given an orientation and training and a gas allowance is available for drivers. No car? You can be the "server" half of the delivery team rather than the driver.
You are sure to enjoy meeting the people on your route and in the office, and to feel good about yourself for volunteering. Call Pauline or Rosa at 233-2424 to sign up today.
