he OSCAR has learned that Fatima Da Silva will be taking a leave of absence from our local TD branch bank to assume a term job with more supervisory duties at a branch closer to her current home.
Fatima is a former Old Ottawa South resident and remains an active supporter of our local schools and other facilities. She spoke out two years ago as an employee working in this community, informing politiciansthat if they closed St. Margaret Mary School it would have a negative impact on our local businesses.
Branch manager Bill Jewell, her co-workers and all of Fatima's customers will miss her. "She is highly community oriented," explains Mr. Jewell, "and a very, very personable employee." He wishes her the best of luck in her new job, but is hopeful she will return when the term is over.
