n Sunday, February 2, Le Jazz Hot Dance & Ballet School, 1179B Bank St., hosted a citywide Royal Academy of Dance ballet pre-examination workshop. Children's examiner Audrey Looker, traveled from Toronto to assess the skill level of Ottawa students ranging from ballet grades 1 to 5.

Eager Ottawa ballet pupils, hailing from different grade levels and different school's, poured into our quaint Bank St. studio to benefit from the wisdom and experience of the examiner.

The workshop gave ballet students from Le Jazz Hot, and dance studios all over the city, the confidence and direction needed to take a ballet examination this winter and spring season.

Mrs. Looker was very impressed with the skill level of our Ottawa dancers. When asked about the five grade 2 ballet students, dressed in pink dance attire, from Le Jazz Hot Dance & Ballet School Mrs. Looker remarked, "I love the pinkies!"

Our grade 5 ballet students also participated in the workshop. Mrs. Looker gave Le Jazz Hot a very promising review of the technique and skill level of our students. Her confidence in our children was not overlooked, and we felt very proud to be hosting such a constructive and rewarding event.

The hallway and stairwell was filled with students of all ages waiting for their chance to dance in front of an examiner. Through their beaming smiles and constant thanks every student showed their gratitude for being able to perform for an examiner as reputable and gracious as Mrs. Looker.

We at Le Jazz Hot Dance & Ballet School were honoured to host a community event that provided our youth with an opportunity to learn and benefit from the wisdom and guidance of an experienced educator like Mrs. Looker. We look forward to continuing these workshops and inviting other schools to benefit from this wonderful experience.
